The opportunities proffered by new media in the realm of delivering content to audience have boomed, enormously, in recent years, not the least of which in the fashion arena. Previously the Internet has provided increased accessibility to information: reviews and photographs from runway shows posted next day, sample sale listings at the click of a mouse, and infinite news sources, blogs, and websites devoted to putting their own particular spin on all things fashion, yielding an overall greater intimacy between the consumer, the product, and those who create it.

While the heavy hitters of New York Fashion Week continue to serve up their collections on a colossal level, an undercurrent of the up-and-comers continues to establish itself with a bevy of young designers forming a sartorial force to be reckoned with.
