I had the pleasure of attending Nic Rad's PeopleMatter show at RARE gallery in Chelsea. Nic is a Brooklyn-based artist and admitted media addict hosting his second solo show at RARE. Rad is showcasing his 18-month long project PeopleMatter, a collection of 99 painted portraits that capture a moment in the history of communication. Subjects include bloggers, journalists, and Internet "micro-celebrities," selected using various digital tools.

LA-based Lumi Co aims to take natural textiles such as cotton or leather to the next level in the field of high resolution prints. In their words: the Lumi Process is a hybrid printing technology that creates vivid photo-realistic imagery on all natural fibers.
